What an AWESOME experience this was! Since most all of my painting subjects revolve around Door County, having an opportunity to exhibit along side many wonderful artists from the area was such an honor. Weather wasn’t on our side for sure, but it was still a great turn-out and I met some great people and my prints will be hanging in homes all across the state (even in Chicago!) Very humbling.

Speaking of some of the artists from the area, if you get a chance to, take a look at this great write about about Gary Chaudoir (Door County’s “Mr. Glass”). He ran a hands on glass art session with many adults and children alike. What a great time created by a great artist.

Another great artist with a unique style and subject matter is Sophie Parr. We met her prior at the Madison Art Fair on the Square. She hand draws very detailed, accurate and beautiful maps! I just HAD to buy a print for myself of Peninsula State Park (where I love to camp). It will hang with pride in our camper! Check out her work here.
